Jen & Mike’s Purple & Gold Wedding

Jen & Mike’s purple & gold wedding theme at the Universal Sheraton was so gorgeous. Jen glowed in her soft white wedding dress with lace sleeves. We love how she flawlessly put together rustic shabby chic elements with some glamour decor. When Jen and Mike were planning their wedding they mentioned they wanted it to be memorable, exciting, detailed, and fun. We feel honored to have been able to fulfill their vision for their wedding through wedding lighting, video, special effects, and a wedding MC & DJ.

Jen really personalized her wedding with special details. She got hand stitched handkerchiefs for her mom and dad with a personalized note saying she will always be their little girl. Their friends and family were so much fun. Alex, J&M’s Wedding MC did a great job bringing together two different cultures into one big happy family while DJ Geno kept them on the dance floor having fun.

Special Thanks to Krista Mason Photography for the beautiful photos and our J&M Entertainment Team: Alex Morales (Wedding MC), Eugenio Bautista (Wedding DJ), Jose Prado (Wedding Lighting Designer), JJ Solorzano (Wedding Technician), Lorena Pineda (Wedding Photo Montage Editor), Pablo Gratas (Wedding Video).

Tuesday Wedding Reception Tips 2013: Pack a To-Go Box

Make a to-go plate! We’ve done a lot of weddings! One thing brides and grooms almost never do is enjoy their dinner! There’s so much going on and usually a pretty tight schedule to stick to, plus a ton of emotions and nerves that chances are you guys probably just aren’t going to be that hungry. Even if it’s a $120 lobster and steak meal! Here’s a tip you have to jot down. Ask your caterer to make a “To-Go” plate for you and your husband. At the end of the night when you’re starving, you will be so thankful for this little box of deliciousness. Trust us, just do it! You’ll thank us later.

Amanda & Michael’s 60′s Themed Wedding

J&M Entertainment’s wedding specialist Sandra Betancourt had the privileged of helping Amanda and Michael with their wedding. Amanda & Michael are the cutest couple! They were high school sweethearts who got reconnected and were married this weekend at  The Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City. The wedding  had a beautiful 60′s theme and was decorated in tiffany blue and red.

One of our favorite moments at Amanda & Michael’s wedding was when the flower girls walked down the red aisle in their cute black dresses and red sunglasses carrying a Tiffany blue bag filled with rose petals. The bridesmaides were beautifully dressed in knee length black dresses with a black lace back and sleeves. Each bridesmaid had a red flower in her hair. During the cocktail hour Amanda & Michael had several games for the kids and the adults to play to get to know each other and wins some prizes.

Their photo montage tribute to their friends & family, which had a Beatles mix soundtrack, drew a lot of “Ooh’s” &  “Ahh’s”  from the guests as well as some laughter.

The Sportsmen’s Lodge is unique for it’s  large sunken dance floor with railings, contrasted with views of ponds and foliage. Amanda and Michael took advantage of the dance floor for their Hora and first dance. The large dance floor offered a special elegance.

Special Thanks to our J&M team:  Sandra Betancourt (Wedding Specialist), Dave Mancini (Wedding MC), Eugenio Bautista (Wedding DJ), Chris Golden (Wedding Lighting Designer), and Lorena Pineda (Photo Montage Editor).

2013 Wedding Reception Lounge Trends

Welcome to J&M Entertainment’s Tuesday Wedding Tips at Two.

2013 is transforming wedding reception lounges from simple & expected to chic and adventurous. Brides are getting rid of cocktail tables and replacing them with wedding lounge furniture. It’s all about cozy intimate settings. You can mix and match antique furniture, or go with plush comfy couches & chairs. Think outdoor furniture from better homes and gardens with lovely open air drapery. The idea is to have a unique space for your guests to take amazing photo ops as well as a comfy place to rest and mingle. Add a little mood and ambiance lighting to create the perfect lounge area. We recommend adding pin spot wedding lighting for your centerpieces and LED up lighting, wash lighting or texture lighting  for when it gets dark. You still get the rustic garden wedding reception, but at night time you are able to spot light your décor and add to the intimate setting. AV Party Rentals is a great place for lounge furniture and open air drapery. If you need antique shabby chic vintage furniture we recommend Treasures From The Trunk. For pin spot lighting or battery operated LED up lighting call us here at J&M Entertainment.
